Featured MINI new cars
Alright, Road Ramblers, let us do some ramblin'. Motor Trend just published an article comparing segment-defying cars like the Scion, the new Fiat, the Hundai Veloster, Beetle, the Honda CR-Z and our hometown favorite, the MINI Cooper. Guess who won? Go ahead, guess. You know we love to gloat in our victories, so we don't even have to write it.
Aw, heck, we will. It brings us much satisfaction: MINI won, of course.
What did they like? Plenty. Check it out:
"If you haven't heard, Minis are really fun to drive. That doesn't just apply to the turbocharged S model, either. Much to our delight, the base Mini is no penalty box. Instead, it was the unanimous winner. Despite being one of the least-powerful cars here, the Mini laid down the second-fastest 0-60 time and the best stopping and skidpad performance by far and still pulled off the second-best observed fuel economy, losing to the hybrid CR-Z by a tenth of an mpg. To top it off, despite a well-earned reputation for pricey options, the Mini wasn't the most expensive car here."
The first paragraph in, and they are already gushing with praise about our favorite little car. They went on to mention the "useable backseat", the "one-two punch" of its smart gearing, the "solid chassis", "sport-tuned suspension" and "communicative steering". And this isn't the top-of-the-line John Cooper Works MINI they are comparing, it is simply the base MINI Cooper HardTop. Anyway, you can check out the full article here:
Of course, if we are preaching to the choir here, you can skip ahead to the part where you pick out and pick up your own MINI. Just give us a call or come visit us in the showroom, and we'll be happy to show you of all the fantastic specials we currently have running that can get you into the driver's seat of a MINI faster than a Cooper on Motor Trend's skid pad.
